Thomas Crombez is lecturer in Philosophy of Art and Theatre History at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Antwerp), and at St Lucas School of Arts Antwerp. He is also associated with the Research Center for Visual Poetics at the University of Antwerp. His research activities focus on digital methodologies for doing research in the humanities. At the University of Antwerp, he initiated the Platform for Digital Humanities (http://dighum.uantwerpen.be). Recent books by Crombez include The Locus of Tragedy (2009), Arm theater in een gouden tijd (‘Poor Theatre in a Golden Age’, 2014) and Mass Theatre in Interwar Europe (2014).
Thomas will moderate the main lectures together with Kim Gorus and Hugo Puttaert.
